Misfits Unite

I tried these pieces for a challenge, but I got it done and hated it.  I took it apart and used everything else on another card.  Then I cut this swing card and the pieces were perfect!  It seems like a valentine card and I guess it could be.  But it is actually for a friend, a single friend, she's weird just like me... and while I am married, my husband is gone frequently, which makes me a weird married friend, so this card fits perfect, from me to her.

I'm entering this completed piece that I actually like in Pile It On - Hearts and Flowers challenge #52 This challenge ends Saturday, January 31, 2015Penny's Challenge #212 - Anything Goes  This challenge ends on Monday, Feb 2, 2015Bunny Zoe's Craft Challenge - HEARTS - Challenge ends February 8, 2015, FantabulousCricut - Valentine's #244

Happy BIRTHday Gift

This is my BIRTHday gift for Levi Wilkinson.  It was a cigar box that I covered in black vinyl. Then, I created the train and font name.  I softened the paper look and feel by putting packing tape over the paper and pulling it off.  In effect, felting the paper.  It's layered 5 times to create a stand up design without adding foam tape.  I created vinyl arrows to go around the sides.

The top slides off.  Inside I put coupons, and some gift cards.  The gift box turns into a keepsake box. for Levi's BIRTHday keepsakes.

My Spot!

My dog, spot, knock, knock, knock, Penny.

I love the Big Bang Theory, so, the thought of Sheldon and his couch spot was what inspired the funny thought of the spot, my spot, my dog named spot.... Sheldon''s spot!

Just something funny for the droll winter day.  I really love to laugh. It's funny when I chuckle to my self as I design and then see it come together in paper piecing, which I LOVE.

Boo Winter!

Okay, it's cold, wet, frozen, snow, ice, falling down, shoveling snow.
I LOVE it, but the rest of my family does not.  This card is for them.
Everything was made on the provided Cricut Craft Room Basics.
Circles, squares, etc.  This is the way my frozen husband is when he has to shovel snow.

Playing With Words

Playing with words has been fun this week.  I love puns and laughter.  One card will belie my feelings this week as I recover from an injury. And so I laugh.... even at myself.

Cow-Tipping and Puppy-Love

Well, living in Texas, makes one familiar with rural living and the activities of bored kids.  I've been cow-tipping in my life, but never tipped a cow.

Hope this one made you smile and chuckle

Happy New Year 2015

It's a new year.  My youngest son and his wife, with baby Ruby, are moving to Hawaii next week. I'm very happy for them because its beautiful there and I know they will enjoy it. But trips to Hawaii have to be planned not just, "hey, can we come see you this weekend?"  I'm glad for their experiences in the military.  It was a good life for us.

Anyway, these are New Year/Thank you cards I made for people that I didn't get Christmas cards too, or a Christmas card that came with goodies to eat.  :0 ) The yummy ones!

First, the Christmas elf that is ready to party!

Time to have some fun when all the work is done!  Shades and party hat, secret Santa gift and a noise maker in hand.  Joys of the Season and Paper Doll Dress UP

Next were several cards I did to encourage people at the start of the new year.

This is the joy of beginning my 2015 year.... a new baby next month.
And It's a girl!
But,, I can't post that card until after I give it to her.
