50th Anniversary Party

My Parents will be married 50 years in December.  We plan to have some fun at their party.  Music was always big in our lives.  So I made these food trays out of records.

Saw the idea on Pinterest.  Went down to the thrift store, picked up some old records.  Put them in the oven at 350 for 15 minutes.  For the bowl, I used a stainless steel mixing bowl and let it melt down over the curve.  For the lipped trays I used the same stainless steel bowl and let the record melt over the opposite side of the bowl so that only a small amount of the record melted.   This was SO FUN and easy that I can see myself doing a lot of fun things with these.

Hi Penny! I get so excited when I see you on my sidebar with a new post! I saw these at the flea market but didn't realize how easy it is to do it yourself. I really like how you stacked the trays! Sounds like it's going to be a great party. Happy Anniversary to your parents!
