New Cricut Explore Air

So, my DH, got me two gifts for my birthday.  Tickets to Garth Brooks in Dallas and a new cricut explore air. What?!

The learning curve on the new program is steep for me. There is much to do and I'm having trouble figuring it all out.  Watching a lot of you-tube videos.

I did these 3 cards with Too Cute Ink coloring with my copics.  Honestly, I don't have the hang of the coloring thing.  As with all things, practice, practice, practice.  I read that TooCuteInk is going to stop her drawings and stamping for a while, so I scurried (yes, scurried) over to her shop for a 50% discount and downloaded some digital stamps.

These 3 Cards made for my grandsons, Ellis, Parker and Wesley, I'll get the girls next week.

Cards entered into Fantabulous Cricut Challenge - Project for kids.

Acorn and leaf and all base cuts made on the cricut.
Copic Markers
and 2Cute Stamps

This Fox Card entered in Inspiration Destination Contest Anything Goes #52

I'm trying to figure out how to do more than boxes on my cricut.  It came with a neat project to replicate, but right now, I can't understand why and how it's doing the layers. I mean, yes, I figured out the layers, but why all the layers are so separated, and I feel like I'm wasting paper, when with my expression, I could decide where and what layers were placed.

So, I'm learning and it's fun.
Have a great weekend!

A big project --sigh--

I took on a huge HUGE project for Christmas this year and so I have been awfully busy working on that.  Here is what I have made besides cards:

His and Hers Aprons.  The one on the left is made from an old pair of blue jeans and a men's shirt.  The rest of the shirt I used for her apron on the right.  They are so cute!  Especially since the top of the men's apron is made out of the waist of the jean and buttons around the neck with the button.

This tuxedo cut from the Wedding cartridge is for a men's gift for a wedding.  I LOVE my new Copic Spica pens.  They give the shine and glitz without the trouble of wondering if my gel pens will work when I want them.  They dry quickly and I can count on them working.
These can caddies are great for pens, pencils, markers, scissors
or straws, plastic silverware and napkins.

This little jean bag is made for the bottom of a levi pants leg.
The little felt flowers have clips on them that give it a very pretty look

but fold it over and put the clips at the top and throw it in your bag, safe and secure.

This happy  little guy is from Paper Pups, & holds a flower from Walk in My Garden.

Wild Man Card with a Moose from Animal Antics

A balloon card with it's own fall scenery, river and little sheep.

This cute little tea light glows with an orange nose when you turn on the switch.
So.... what is my project.  Different than has ever been done at my church. People make lots of stuff to sell and raise money at Christmas time.  But, this year, I want it to be a gift.  No matter how small, no matter how big, everyone goes home with a gift from the Christmas party.. a gift made by someone else in the church.  It's going to take a lot of coordinating!  So, I'm laying off my participation in challenges for now and I'm busier than I've ever been in creating.

Card for Twins

My elephant made out of pallet wood, Tree cuts from Cricut Wall Decor. This was a lot of work!
I entered it in the state fair and got honorable mention.

Tag Card

Pallet wood, cut from 50 States, and a little heart to put on for where your heart is in the U.S.  I used Cricut 50 States, cut in vinyl, applied to the wood, painted white and pulled the vinyl off.

Painted a rock!
