Back to School

The card is 5x5 square, using George to cut the rounded corner squares.  The school building is two different buildings.  The Red brick schoolhouse is on My World and the Stucco schoolhouse is on My Community.  Many of the schools I went to looked like this with the old building in the front and the new building in the back.  The School Days tag is cut from Makin' The Grade.  The little boy is a Puddle Jumper stamp from Claudia and Company. Buttons from Stampin' Up.  I printed the background paper on my printer inverting the normally white clouds to blue and blue sky to white and added clouds

This is a pedestal card and fn to sit on a teacher desk or a secretary desk welcoming kids back to school.
The penant was a lot of work to make it so small.  I printed the flag from online and used a toothpick.

Vacations

  • I love this  Bug-A-Boo  stamp.
  • I Love the beach, but I hate all the sand and creepy things.
  • I love vacations but I'm so tired after them and ready for another vacation, that's why this card was PERFECT!

The Cricut cuts are coral from Life is a Beach cartridge
Rectangular cuts from the square cut shape
I used Stickles, Copics and White Gel Pen for all the color
and that's what I liked about this stamp.  I could add SOOO much color.

Weddings, weddings

I just finished my last wedding as a wedding coordinator and florist.  I've been doing this for 20+ years, but my husband and I have decided we've reached the tiredness end.  Here are some pictures from the event.
Brides bouquet - Lemon leaves, hydrandea, rose, double lisianthus, wax flower, tuber rose, star of bethlehem, dahlia and spray rose

This was a piece of wood I found and used as the pen holder for the book adding some flowers, moss and a small candle

These sweet friends were so close to my heart and I'm glad I got to be part of their day.

There Is No Pleasure in Having Nothing to Do

The challenge at Fantabulous Cricut  is Summer Activities.  This is the one we are practicing most right now.  Laying in the hammock, catching the breeze in the shade. It's just too hot in Texas to do more than swim in the pool and dry off swinging in the hammock.

This hammock cut from Wild Card 2
The puppy from Paper Pups

The hammock is tied to the trees with red string

The fancy pants paper used on this hammock looks like glitter in this picture, but it's just red and white random dots.

The saying is

There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; the fun is having lots of things to do and not doing it ~ Mary Wilson Little

The small cup and straw are from Country Fair
The clouds from Summer Bliss
The paper is from Fancy Pants

This was a fun project.  Come join us at Fantabulous Cricut
